I was diagnosed with Cancer and really didn’t know which way to turn. I am in my early 30’s so this was extremely hard for me. I confided in someone who is mutual friends with Day’nah although I didn’t personally know her, she immediately took me under her wing. She expressed her feelings about Cancer and some of the things her mom had went through. She gave me so much motivation to live. I was so shocked how caring and knowledgeable she was. I finally felt like I had someone I could open up to especially since we were so close in age. She then took me wig shopping and suggested different styles for me. I was so excited and it was such a relief just to know someone else cared. This couldn’t have came at a better time because its was exactly 3 weeks after my 1st chemo appointment and my hair had just began to fall out the very same day I met Day’nah. I kept thanking my mutual friend and told her she is blessed to have such wonderful friends in her life.

I met Day’nah and her group at a volunteer project down on skid row. I was totally in denial about my condition. She took my hand encouraged me to seek medical attention, took me to my appointments, and assisted my children throughout the process. I was out of work and Ann’s Helping Hands helped me and my family have a wonderful Christmas. The staff came over and cooked for my children and I, wrap gifts, provided my children with clothes and hair services. They provided all of the services that I could no longer complete at the time. Im very thankful that she had followed up with me regarding my diagnosis and showed me a better way to deal with the situation. She assured me that having Cancer is not the end of the world. I’ve since then have not battled anymore depression and wake up feeling great. I’m sincerely thankful for your outreach! ”

I will recommend anyone who has been faced with Cancer to go here. Why battle this alone when there are people like Ann’s Helping Hands that really care.

In this day and age, it’s hard to find a company you can trust Ann’s Helping Hands was recommended to me by a friend, and now I know why – the quality of service I received was outstanding. Keep up the good work!”
